WHATA celebration and thank you to Austin media and general public who have supported the efforts of Swim 4 the Reef, Paul Ellis's Yucatan swim, and the protection of the world's Coral Reefs as well as a commitment to clean water quality, locally as well as globally. WHYSwim 4 the Reef is a not-for-profit organization committed to bringing global attention to the plight of the world's coral reefs. In early August, Paul Ellis, 61-year-old grandfather and former Marine helicopter pilot, completed a momentous swim from Cozumel to Cancun, 40 miles, to call worldwide attention to this global problem.
